Mike Porter is the Director, Global Environmental, Health & Safety for The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. He has served in this position since August 2010. In his current role he provides strategic environmental, health, and safety leadership for all business and functional units worldwide. He leads a global team of skilled and experienced professionals that design systems, programs, and deliver services that maximize employee safety, improve shareholder value, maintain customer satisfaction, and achieve compliance with global environmental, health and safety laws. His experience includes 30+ years in the environmental, health, and safety profession, with 6 years in primary steel manufacturing and 32 years with The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. Former positions include assignments in chemical manufacturing, corporate product stewardship, North America tire manufacturing, global safety, and director of Goodyear’s global health, safety, and business continuity operations. Mike holds professional board certifications in safety (CSP) and industrial hygiene (CIH) and is a six-sigma green belt. He graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a B.S. in safety management and an MBA from Baldwin-Wallace College.
